 Brad Tate, widely recognized by his stage name Skit P, is a multifaceted talent encompassing roles as a record producer, composer, rapper, singer, songwriter, and dynamic performer. Born on August 21, 1989, in North Chicago, Illinois, Skit P’s musical journey commenced at an early age, fueled by a deep-seated passion for funk, hip hop, soul, and R&B. His upbringing, marked by the musical prowess of his father, a bass player, and his mother, a background singer, laid the foundation for his illustrious career. Skit P’s artistic prowess flourished as he ventured into the realm of performance, co-founding the musical ensemble ‘New Grounds’ alongside label mate Jay Fix. Together, they graced the stage, opening for revered acts such as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Ice Cube, Common, and a myriad of other illustrious artists. His production prowess gained further acclaim when one of his tracks featured on the hit MTV television show ‘Sweet Sixteen’, while his music found resonance on prominent radio stations like WGCI. 

In a pivotal move, Skit P established his own independent record label, Another Vision Productions (AVP), driven by a vision to provide a platform for diverse and creatively inclined artists to freely express themselves without constraints. Currently, AVP boasts a roster featuring two exceptional talents: singer-songwriter Jonelle Glori and hip hop artist Jay Fix. Beyond nurturing talents within his label, Skit P’s impact extends to the broader music community. He has played a pivotal role in fostering the growth of numerous local artists, offering support in video and music production, promotion, and cultivating eclectic lyrical content to facilitate their individual shine.
